May 17, 2006ALICE IN CHAINS kicked off their five-city U.S. club tour with a special free open rehearsal Tuesday night (May 16) for their hometown fans. The 75-minute set — which included tracks "Rooster", "Man in the Box" and "Would?" — at the Moore Theatre featured guest appearances from Kim Thayil (SOUNDGARDEN),Chris DeGarmo (QUEENSRŸCHE),Ann Wilson (HEART) and Duff McKagan (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES).

ALICE IN CHAINS — Jerry Cantrell, Sean Kinney, Mike Inez and William DuVall (who will handle lead vocals for the group) — will next hit the stage at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles On Thursday (May 18) before continuing with the U.S. club dates: San Diego, House of Blues, May 19; Chicago, May 21; Boston, Avalon Ballroom, May 22 and New York, Bowery Ballroom, May 23. Following the U.S. dates, the band will head overseas for a series of club dates and festival appearances.
As previously reported, a half-hour interview with ALICE IN CHAINS members Cantrell, Kinney and Inez — which aired earlier in the month on the HDNet (High Definition TV) channel as part of the "Sound Off" program with host Matt Pinfield — has been posted online at this location.
